Classic cars have outperformed all the traditional investments over the last ten years. In fact they have proved remarkable for the last thirty years, beating property, gold, wine, stocks and shares, to name but a few.
Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. Ready to make an investment you can actually enjoy?
Green Credentials? There is nothing more 'Green' than running a classic car because you are not running off to the showrooms to buy yet another new sheet metal car off some production line every two years. You are also making your asset last thereby saving you the huge cost of depreciation which is the single biggest issue when running a modern car. Road tax , insurance and service costs are also likely to be far less as well.
Highly portable and tangible assets
Great fun for all the family.
Active club scene with rallies here and abroad. Think Goodwood Revival and Classic Le Mans.
Road tax exempt (pre 1981) and some earlier cars are exempt from MOT tests
Ridiculously cheap insurance from under £70 pa.
Aston to Austin, Ferrari to Fiesta. I can help source and value
440 Magnum Dodge Challenger 1970
Should have kept the number plate but I was not into football then!

The One that got away!

I attended Historics Classic Car auction to try to acquire this exceedingly rare Renault 16TL resplendent in red for a long standing client but the Renault Owners Club had alerted the European members and this went way over our price budget. There are under 100 examples left on the DVLA database and this was just fabulous so it was no great surprise.

Current Project

An exceedingly rare MGB Roadster had to be bought by yours truly at classic auction due to its low ownership and very low mileage. It also was the very best model year to have with chrome bumpers, leather seats, original chrome grill and traditional wires wheels before good old BL started to cheapen the brand with rubber bumpers and plastic seats.

Vehicle searches and disposals

A local lady whose father I have supplied and sold cars for in the past, approached me for a large vehicle to take to and sleep in at the beach! A perfect Japanese 4x4 was the solution and was aquired via BCA remotely within two weeks.
Another local lady needed to sell her late husband's Bentley which was prepared and presented to the market and immediately found a new owner but not before I retained the cherished number plate which she now keeps on her own car as a lovely memory.

Vehicle disposals

No longer able to drive and moving into a care home, this lady's lovely yellow Beetle needed some care and attention itself. After overseeing a rennovation programme, this little beauty went to a NHS nurse for a new life in Cornwall.
A One Lady Owned Mini 'Thirty' limited edition with a low mileage came up for disposal locally and after some fettling on behalf of the owner, and targeted marketing with a classic car auction, a figure in excess of three times expectation was achieved for the family.
